I truly do believe that each of us has a calling. This doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone is destined to create a unique livelihood as an entrepreneur. I don’t even want to imply that we all manifest our calling as “work.” Yet, if you have discovered this website, chances are that you are interested in making a living doing what you love. If that is the case, your calling is most likely beginning to manifest as your life’s work.

As for me, I have had quite a journey defining my life’s work. I remember, not so long ago, wishing intensely to find work that addressed my many interests and that would satisfy my desire to innovate. I wanted to work with people that I authentically enjoyed and to be able to set my own priorities. At the time, not knowing quite how to fulfill this desire, I struggled with a feeling of uncertainty. Now, I would say that longing to express yourself more fully in what you do is exactly what it feels like to be called toward a greater purpose.
If you are seeking to define (or refine) your life’s work, take a moment to identify the skills that you enjoy using and the talents that come naturally to you. Your calling lies in those activities that bring you joy and in your dreams about an ideal life. Define what you want and pursue opportunities that allow you to live the life you desire more fully. As you gain experience and come to value the unique talents that you have to offer, you will be able to make a living doing what you love!
Even if it doesn’t look like the most practical path, doing what you love fills you with happiness and ultimately leads to great abundance.
