I am trying to be mindful about how I think and speak about my life, my dreams, my business. I am convinced that words are dynamic and that we create our experiences with the words we choose. I try to direct my inner dialog so that my thoughts support my desires and I make it a point to speak from a perspective that is in alignment with what I want. Using words mindfully allows us to be the authors of our own lives.
Try talking in the affirmative about your goals this week. Believe in yourself and strengthen the impression that you make on others.
It may be especially hard to speak positively about your life when you are experiencing hardship. Yet this is when using your imagination is most important! Focusing on negativity will only create resistance, making it more difficult for you to reach your desired goals. Imagining what you prefer and talking about your goals in the affirmative will help you manifest the future that you desire. Sanaya Roman writes about the importance of authoring a positive story with our words in one of my favorite books, Creating Money:
It is better not to speak of failure or financial disasters to others; if you do not have money right now, do not complain of your lack. Talk about your visions and your dreams. Speak of what is good in your life right now, and how positive you feel about the future. Speak to others of your confidence and trust in yourself, without emphasizing your lack. Your friends carry an image of you and when you think of yourself you pick up their pictures. If you speak to others of your prosperity, they will think of you as prosperous, they will carry positive mental pictures of you that you can tap into whenever you want. If you do not have money right now, speak as if you do.

Lea,
Thank you so much for inviting me to include my print in with this lovely post! I so agree with everything you wrote and can’t wait to hear more about your future ecourse!
All the best!
Jen
Thank you, Jen! Your artwork is such an inspiration and now I have fallen for your website and blog. I look forward to following your career! xo, Lea
I’ve made a note to myself to check for that book at the library. Sounds like it’s right up my alley. So happy you mentioned it! Along the same lines is The Soul of Money by Lynne Twist, which is all about abundance too. BTW, your new branding makes a very strong, powerful (I couldn’t resist, lol) statement!
Thanks for your comment, Lisa! I will check out the book that you mentioned too. I always need to keep abundance consciousness fresh in my mind! Your business looks interesting too. I will be keeping an eye on your website.

First of all, LOVE the print! I am interested in seeing more of Jen’s artwork. This is a beautiful post. I love how you said, “Using words mindfully allows us to be the authors of our own lives.” Wow! I agree that words are so important. They each have their own energy and affect us more than we realize. Thanks for reminding me to be aware of my words, whether spoken or thought.
Thanks, Melissa! You certainly understand the power of words, having created entire lives and worlds using words! (Melissa is a YA author). Isn’t it fascinating that we also script our own character with each word we use to communicate who we are? This is a pretty empowering notion!
xo, Lea
